Welcome to another robust school year at Steele Elementary School! We are excited to partner with our families to ensure every student achieves academic excellence in a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment. Our mission is to empower every child to become a confident learner, a strong leader, and a positive member of our community. 

Academic Athletes 

This year we are challenging every student to become an Academic Athlete. Success is built through grit, perseverance, practice, and determination. We ask families to reinforce daily reading, consistent attendance, positive study habits, and a growth mindset at home. 

Our 4 R's 

Redirect – Help students make positive choices. 
Relocate – Provide an opportunity to reset and refocus. 
Refer – Seek additional support when needed. 
Restore – Repair relationships, rebuild trust, and strengthen our school community through restorative practices. 
 
Please reinforce these expectations at home so our students receive a consistent message. 

Important Dates 

• August 17: Meet the Principal (Kindergarten), 3:00–5:00 PM 
• August 20: Open House, 3:00–6:00 PM 
• August 26: First Day of School 

Arrival & Dismissal 

Doors open at 8:35 AM. Dismissal begins promptly at 4:05 PM. Please do not drop students off before supervision begins and avoid early dismissals whenever possible. 

Communication 

Please ensure your phone number, email address, home address, and emergency contacts are current. Accurate information allows us to communicate quickly regarding emergencies, transportation changes, and important school events.
